Improving industrial safety is closely linked to the Sustainable Development Goals defined in the framework of the Global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These goals, approved by the United Nations, represent a comprehensive approach to solving various social, economic and environmental problems in order to ensure a sustainable future for all. Here’s how improving industrial safety relates to some of these goals:

  1. Goal 3: Ensure a healthy life and promote well-being for all at all ages. Improving industrial safety directly contributes to reducing the risk of work-related injuries and diseases. This, in turn, contributes to the creation of a healthy work environment and the improvement of public health.

  1. Goal 8: Promote long-term, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full, productive and decent employment for all. A safe industrial environment contributes to the creation of conditions for sustainable economic development. Reducing the number of industrial accidents and injuries increases the efficiency of enterprises and contributes to an increase in labor productivity.
  2. Goal 9: Build sustainable infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industry, and encourage innovation. Improving industrial safety includes the development and implementation of innovative technologies and methods aimed at preventing industrial accidents and hazards. This contributes to the creation of a more sustainable and secure industrial infrastructure.
  3. Goal 11: Promote sustainable urban development and promote inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable urban development. Improving safety in industrial areas and production facilities contributes to the creation of a safe and sustainable urban environment, which in turn contributes to improving the quality of life of urban residents.

In general, improving industrial safety plays a key role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, as it ensures the safety of workers, contributes to sustainable economic growth and the creation of a sustainable and safe environment.
