Lectures on Sustainable Development and Environmental Management

On June 27, 2025, an academic session dedicated to sustainable development and environmental management was held at the Kazakhstan-China Center of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The event brought together students and young researchers from KazNU and Xinjiang University (PRC).
The lecture block was delivered by UNESCO Chair for sustainable development  lecturers – Dr. Bayan Tussupova (Technical Sciences) and Dr. Guldana Minzhanova (Chemical Sciences). The program covered the following topics:
– Geoecological aspects of sustainable development
– Case studies in sustainable development
– Structure of Environmental Management System according to ISO 14001
– Ecolabeling and its importance
The lectures were accompanied by discussions on global environmental challenges, the role of international standards in environmental governance, and the social responsibility of young professionals.
