Dubna University was established in 1994 by the Government of the Moscow region.
Dubna University is a public research university with its main campus in Dubna (100 km North from Moscow). It makes a major contribution to the development of scientific and innovation potential of the Moscow region. University has several branch campuses throughout the region (situated in Dmitrov, Dzerzhinsky, Kotelniki and Protvino) and plays a key role in integrating students of diverse backgrounds into the region’s academic community. Our Career Center acts as a liaison among Dubna University and several research centers (JINR in particular) to help students in the development of their career plans and job search in high-tech sector.
Dubna University has various research facilities in the field of nuclear physics, computer science, nanotechnology and geophysics.
Dubna University provides quality education to students of diverse backgrounds. More than 75% of our alumni find jobs within the field of their study; about 40% are scientists or professors or high tech professionals; about 50% choose to work in Dubna.
Dubna University has four faculties with thirty five departments and a number of research centers. About four thousand students study here full-time yearly.
Our faculty holds Doctoral degree (D.Sc.) from the following institutions: Lomonosov Moscow State University, Moscow Aviation Institute, Moscow Engineering and Physics Institute (to mention a few). Some of them are academic members of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Russian Academy of Education, as well as holders of the State Prizes. They are scientists working in the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR), the Institute for High Energy Physics (IHEP) located in Protvino, professors of the Lomonosov Moscow State University, Moscow Aviation Institute, Moscow Engineering and Physics Institute, and other research centers.
