Development of an exo-chair

Under the guidance of the scientific supervisor, Ph.D., senior teacher Akubaeva D.M. 2nd year master’s student in the specialty “7M11201 Life safety and environmental protection” of the UNESCO Department for Sustainable Development of Kazakh National University al-Farabi Akylbek A.K. presented the results of her scientific work on the dissertation “Substantiation of the method of occupational risk assessment and development of solutions to reduce it” dedicated to improving working conditions during heavy work with a heavy load on the musculoskeletal system. The research was carried out at the Zhambyl branch of KAZPHOSPHAT LLP (NDFZ).

It is important to note that Akylbek A.K. She herself made an exo-chair using 3D printing technology, which allows her to achieve high precision and detail of the design, as well as speed up the production process. The exo-stool trials used risk assessment methods including indirect and direct methods. This made it possible to thoroughly analyze the reliability and safety of the structure, identify potential risks and make the necessary adjustments to minimize them. This development and testing allowed us to create a high-quality and functional exo-chair that meets all safety and ease of use requirements. The introduction of exo-chairs can significantly improve the working conditions of turners, reduce the load on the musculoskeletal system and reduce the risk of occupational diseases. It can also improve worker productivity and job satisfaction.

We congratulate Akylbek Altyn Kaldybekkyzy on the successful defense of her dissertation and wish him further success in his scientific activities.
