Faculty Academic Council Meeting
On July 3, 2025, the expanded meeting of the Geography and Environmental Management Faculty Academic Council No.13 was held. The session began at 10:00 in auditorium BAZ 3. The meeting was attended by the faculty administration, teaching staff, and members of the Academic Committee.
The agenda included three key issues:
1. Issues discussed at the University Academic Council and the Faculty Dean’s meeting, and their implementation. Dean A.S. Aktymbayeva presented a report highlighting the adopted decisions and implementation mechanisms. Priority areas were defined, including improving the quality of education, expanding students’ academic mobility, and enhancing digitalization processes.
2. Summary and outcomes of the 2024–2025 academic year: achievements, challenges, and prospects. A.S. Aktymbayeva reviewed the year’s key results, pointing out both faculty accomplishments and unresolved issues. Priorities for the upcoming academic year were also outlined.
3. Report of the Faculty Academic Committee for the Spring Semester of the 2024–2025 academic year. Academic Committee Chair A.G. Koshim analyzed the quality of teaching and methodological materials (TMM), the organization of the educational process, and student performance, offering several recommendations.
As a result of the expanded meeting, specific tasks were assigned, and preparations for the new academic year were launched. The discussed proposals and measures are aimed at effectively implementing the faculty’s development strategy.
