Seminar on Sustainable Development: Discussion of the 17 UN Goals
On October 15, a seminar organized by the UNESCO Chair on Sustainable Development took place at the Laboratory of Environmental Monitoring and Sustainable Development. The event gathered PhD students interested in discussing relevant issues and approaches to implementing the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The main speakers included the chair holder, Professor T.A. Bazarbayeva, and Associate Professor G.A. Mukanova. Professor T.A. Bazarbayeva presented strategic initiatives aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, emphasizing the importance of an interdisciplinary approach and the involvement of various sectors of society.
Associate Professor G.A. Mukanova shared new research and monitoring methods that can significantly accelerate the implementation of the goals. Participants engaged in active discussions on how specific actions at the local level can impact global changes.
