"Protection of water resources (SDG 6)"

On April 4, 2024, the UNESCO Chair in Sustainable Development, within the framework of the annual international student conference “Farabi Alamy”, held a round table on the topic “Protection of water resources (SDG 6)”. The participants of the round table discussed ways to achieve SDG 6, and also analyzed the current state and management system of water resources in the country. Mamykbayev Mukhammaduali, specialist of the Balkhash-Alakol Basin Inspectorate for the Regulation of the Use and Protection of water Resources, outlined the existing problems and tasks of the water management control service.
At the end of the discussion and the intellectual quiz for the students of the department, the participants of the round table summed up the overall results and thanked the invited guest for participating.
