MEETING WITH SCIENTISTS OF THE FRENCH CIRAD CENTER

On June 25, 2021, at the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences, a meeting was held with the staff of the French Center for Agricultural Research and International Development CIRAD.

Alexandre Ickowicz, Director of the Department of Livestock and Veterinary Medicine (CIRAD-EMVT), Center for International Cooperation in Agronomic Research and Development.

Véronique Rayot is Orano’s representative in Central Asia.

The meeting was held with the participation of the Dean of the faculty Salnikov V.G., Head of the UNESCO Chair for Sustainable Development Bazarbayeva T.A., Deputy Heads of the Chairs for Scientific and Innovative Activity and International Cooperation Musagalieva A.N., Department of Geography, Land Management and Cadastre; Temirbaeva K.A., Department of Cartography and Geoinformatics; Rysmagambetova A.A., UNESCO Chair for Sustainable Development.

The main issue during the meeting was the discussion of joint research activities in the field of ecology, land use and soil research.

As a result of the meeting, it was decided to strengthen cooperation through the exchange of information and further planning of joint events between the French Center for Agricultural Research for International Development CIRAD and al-Farabi KazNU.
