Meeting of employers with Master Students of the curriculum “Management and Audit of Integrated Safety in Industry”
On December 29, 2020, the 1st year MSc students of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, who are undergoing training on the educational program “Management and audit of integrated Safety in Industry”, under the guidance of Kim D.S., made a virtual technical tour of the production site of EFKO ALMATY LLP – the Kazakhstan branch of one of the largest Russian producers of vegetable oil, mayonnaise, ketchup and cooking fats. The leading technologist of the enterprise, Ms. Molokostova L. P., using the mobile VCS system, demonstrated to the students the main technological stages of acceptance and storage of oilseeds, their collapsing and pressing, oil extraction with solvent, its refining, bleaching, winterization and deodorization, and the engineer for safety and labor protection, Ms. Schtolts R.S., told what dangers each operation involves. The virtual technical tour aroused genuine professional interest among the students and encouraged them to apply the methods of hazard analysis and risk assessment mastered in the fall semester.
