International cooperation programs with France
Expert from the energy company Total from France will teach “Leadership and International
career management” at Al-Farabi Kazakhstan National University
Almaty: Ban Ki-moon Institute for Sustainable Development at KazNU and Total E&P Kazakhstan have collaborated in organizing a series of lectures and practical seminars within the frame of education program “Development of global citizenship for Sustainable development”. Within the framework of this collaboration, Between February 4 and 8, 2019 Total’s Expert Herve Oberreiner will deliver a course “Developing Talents and Leadership» for undergraduate, graduate, and PhD students from different majors in Al-Farabi KazNU
Mr Herve Oberreiner’s lectures will cover topics related to leadership in management and career management focusing on broad experience in Oil & Gas sector. The course includes the following topics: “Introduction to talent management & leadership development”; “Career management: short-, mid-term and long-term perspectives”; “Career management: a shared responsibility” and “Recruitment: a coherent policy.” The lecturer plans to study practical cases and brainstorm with students and young professionals on it.
Mr Oberreiner is one of the well experienced experts on Human Resources in Oil & Gas. He is invited on regular basis to deliver his lectures in numerous universities worldwide (France, China, Middle East and Asia).
The main goal of Total lectures is to complete the theoretical knowledge of students by practical skills and explain the recruitment process and the management of careers and talents on the examples of one of the largest international energy companies. The greater emphasis is placed on the development of student-led startups, global citizenship and international cooperation in the field of education between Kazakhstan and France.

The Ban Ki-Moon Institute for Sustainable Development (BKMISD) has been established as an international academic institution at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU), Almaty, Kazakhstan, in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
